I love it when my wife brings home flowers! Which is probably a reminder that I need to remember to bring them home more often, but that's a lesson for another day... I liked the way this came out. http://douglassandquist.com/bag-tulips/
Caught the light hitting these tulips this morning and decided to see what I could do. Delicate tulips in the bright sunshine are a little more difficult that I once thought... I feel I was moderately successful with this capture....
Day 46 of 365
Had an hour or so with the whole house to myself, so what did I do? Got the tripod and started painting with light! This one I had fun using the flashlight app on my iPhone and switched between various colors, like Red, White, Orange and Blue. I then edited the file in Nik's Software Color Effects Pro 3.0 using the Bleach Bypass filter of which I didn't grab a screenshot of. :( I've posted a before and after with a few notes here: http://www.douglassandquist.com/tech/painting-tulips-with-light-picture-a-day-33
Found these flowers in the sink ready for a vase.. lit with a little bit of bounced flash and then I messed around with plug-ins from Nik Software... it's a bit more post than I usually do and I think it's an interesting effect.
Found these Tulips in the house today... There is always something draws my eye towards taking their picture. Maybe it's their color or shape, I'm not sure... But I find them hard to capture the petal detail with them appearing over saturated.
Tulips under on the stovetop!
Long day, tired tonight.. it's the best I could come up with today! Had a good day though! I think this one is better than the lemons at the the market-Which can be seen here!...
