Haven't messed around with a bunch of bananas in awhile..
Day 290 of 365
Jumping into the Pacific Ocean!
My kids spent the whole afternoon at the beach in Carlsbad, CA.. J had fun jumping over the waves!
Day 279 of 365
The Daffodils are hanging in there! Decided to try a sepia tone... I liked the detail in the desaturation.
Day 79 of 365
At the park the kids had fun collecting these Liquid Amber Tree seed pods... I liked their texture and the fun bokeh on the park bench.
Day 55 of 365
Spent a few hours at Springs Preserve with the kiddos today and this is the last photo I took and this is my favorite... It's definitely different for me and that's ok..
Day 47 of 365
I started a Springs Preserve Gallery here: http://www.sandquistphotography.com/Photography/Springs-Preserve-13/28042310_gc54vk
These are silk flowers that I decided to photograph today...
I decided to attempt a candle flame tonight, I've never been able to capture one decently so I decided to try again. This is a WICK candle I suppose it's called that because of the wide wick. I liked the way this turned out. I also wrote up my thoughts on playing wedding photographer over the weekend at: http://www.douglassandquist.com/tech/the-accidental-wedding-photographer
Hands Coming at Ya!
Day 8 of 366
and I've posted edit notes and another image from this set on my blog at: http://www.douglassandquist.com/tech/hands-coming-at-ya-picture-a-day-8
Stuck in a bit of a rut with these monotone images... I liked the texture on the oranges and the fun background from the lights of the tree, I may be using those again! :)
Long day... had to scramble a bit for today photo... this is lantern type thing that you can put a candle in... I liked the way it's dome looked.
I've decided to start posting my PP workflow on my blog. This images write up can be found at: http://www.douglassandquist.com/tech/christmas-lantern-post-processing
Back to the Pears hanging from our chandelier for the start of December... I did some minor edits in Aperture and then used a really cool filter in Perfect Photo Studio to bring out the glittery surface...
Fun with textures of a palm tree!... and November has come to an end...
These look small in this photo, but these are rather large Holiday Globe grapes.. decided to try at 1.4 to see just how shallow the dof would be...
J wanted a pic on her tricycle today... so here it is! I somehow caught a nice smile as of course I couldn't get her to sit still! I did have to crop this image a bit. I think it's cute!
Found this dead tree on a walk today and tried to capture some of it's textures...
More sunflowers today... I decided to try sepia for a change and I like how it brings out the textures of the petals... Hard to believe another month is gone!
End my work week with a couple of kiwis in sepia... purposely captured the image a stop down, for the low key light effect... It kind of worked...pretty hard to get the fuzzy details of the skin without a macro lens...
J at her first Cub game! Cubs won too.... Miracles do happen...
I love it when I find new random toys to photograph.... I believe this came a a kids meal from Del Taco, but not entirely sure and I have no idea what it is or what it's called, but he makes me laugh so I had to photograph it!
