Today is my anniversary, I'll call them 13 lucky years... We celebrated over the weekend, but on the way home I picked up some sunflowers... and well had to photograph them(I posted pic to Instagram from my iPhone-http://instagr.am/p/FAcNn/ that actually came out pretty good as well!). And actually hatched a brilliant plan to use an off camera flash with a snoot attached, to see what I could come up with. Only to find out the cheap remotes I purchased to play with decided to die tonight. Oh another round of paying the Cheap tax! Onwards to June! 05-31-2011
Reece got a new bat today! It's still a little big for him, but if he chokes up on it he can swing it... So set up a T for him to take some practice swings... I then realized that we'll have to head to the park before I let him use a real baseball, as I had whiffle balls whizzing by my head! Then I said I needed to find my photo for the day, and he offered to pose... So here he is with his new bat... This is a perfect spot as the evening sun bounces off the neighbors window and leaves a nice glow... 05-30-2011
At lunch I just snapped away.. and caught this colorful shot!... Nothing too exciting, but I liked the blue sky as a backdrop!..

In San Francisco for the weekend! Got here just in time for Sunset! This is my wife and her sister! Wife on the right... Almost too much flash here and wish I could have moved the flash further off camera, but space was an issue, the Golden Gate bridge in the background. 05-28-2011

Got home late tonight... I was at a portrait photography lecture!.. found this little guy sitting on the table... I purposely underexposed it... I kind of liked it... 05-25-2011
The grapes have are starting to grow!... Who knows if I'll ever get to taste one as I don't really do anything to take care of them. Just cut them back in the winter and then let the birds and bugs have dessert. And of course I get to photograph them! I kind of like the soft green color of this, um I'm not sure what part of the grapevine it is.. but it's the one that attaches to the wires that allows the vine to creep. So if anyone knows, I'd be happy to learn. Which is against the dark leaves! I was trying to blur the background as best I could which is why I shot this wide open, but in retrospect I think I should have closed it down a couple of stops and it might have provided a bit more area of the subject in focus. Jot that down for next time! 05-24-2011
Roses from my Wife's Birthday yesterday!.. always fun having flowers around the house to photograph!... I also took a few completely different shots today... which can be seen HERE and HERE I think I like this one best... but the butterfly stirrers are fun too!... 05-23-2011
