Day 365 has arrived... I took a photo a day for the entire year of 2011.... Some days it was a quick snap at the end of the day and other days it was a large part of the day to find that one photograph to post... I'm pleased with what i've learned. Met lots of amazing photographers here on Smugmug and on Google+. Tomorrow i'm starting all over again, once you start it's hard to think of not taking a picture every day... There are more things I want to learn and this seems to be the best way to push me forward... Happy New Year!... on to 2012....

Day 364 of this project! It's hard to believe that year 1 is almost over, so with one day left I decided to post a lone tulip that hasn't opened yet and it looks like it might not as the rest of the tulips have all opened up and fallen over.. this one is still standing.. It's great to see so many in the Dailies still going strong year after year!. Happy New Year's Eve-Eve

I was over at my Mom's tonight and hadn't had a chance to see her tree this year, and tonight I noticed it and decided to include as my picture today... It's a pretty tree for sure!...

Ps hard to believe I only have 5 more photos to 365! Man this year has flown by!
Mummy Mt. at night! I've posted images of the Mummy earlier in my project(http://www.sandquistphotography.com/Photography/Photo-A-Day-2011/15292273_2vbHvx/1193481521_CamSr), this time it was pitch dark, and no moon! I set up a tripod and set the lens at 28mm f13 in bulb mode and took a roughly 28min exposure! The light on the trees is from the ambient light from the house. I would have tried for an hour or so exposure, but my battery kept dying in the 22 degree temps! Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Spent Christmas Eve up in the local mountains... Took R on a hike into the forest a bit and found the area that suffered a fire 2 summers ago. The golden trees have burned and some of the aspen trunks are black. The forest service is currently trying to remove the burned trees as it's an area where people hike during the summer. I decided to try a little HDR here, it's not to bad, but I think I could rework it to make it better, but this will do for now!. :) Merry Christmas eve all.
