6 years ago today we decided to join my parents at our family cabin in the mountains about 45 minutes from our home... When we arrived we were greeted with 3 ft of fresh snow to remove before we could have lunch. So my dad and I cleared a path for my mom and my wife to get into the cabin. My wife was 37 weeks pregnant with our son. When she finally made it inside the house.... Well the little guy announced he was ready to enter the world as her water broke. So we ate a quick lunch and got back in the car, headed for home to collect our things and head to the hospital. He announced his arrival early, but decided to take his time as he waited to enter the world around noon on Sunday, so his 6th birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated today and had a really fun day playing in another snow storm at the same cabin! Those are Reece's very own dinosaurs on the cake, and the great people at Retro Bakery are well awesome!... Yes, that volcano is made of cake and frosting! The whole cake feels like it weighed 50 pounds! I hear it was delicious, Reece definitely had more than enough! A couple more views of the cake can be seen Here and Here
