While hiking this area in Greenland, I envisioned builidng a cabin here and waking up to this view everyday! I was then reminded that this view is only available for 3 or 4 months as the rest of the year it would be covered in snow and ice!

And the sun began to rise 10 minutes later! The color never really left the sky. The Sky turned this a soft lavender, that I helped a bit in post and tried to use the greenish tones in the water to be complimentary. I softened the rocks in the immediate foreground to help guide the eye into the scene... Note this area isn'st listed on the shipping charts and our captain didn't want to go here, but we persuaded him. We don't believe there are photos from any other photographers anywhere.. Was able to spend a sunset and sunrise at Kirkjufell, also known as Church Mountain. It's in West Iceland. Quite a few composition options here. Kirkjufell Reflections

Taken a little while after sunrise but the sun was hidden in the clouds which allowed this amazing light to color the clouds. This is a tidal pool the is crystal clear. Worked with both color and symmetry here. Purchase a Print of Kikjufell Reflections
